This research poster highlights the real-world challenges of sampling nanomaterials in industrial environments, focusing on lifecycle stages of EV battery casings and ATEX-certified tanks enhanced with graphene. Key challenges include obtaining enough particles below 10 µm for testing, limited dispersibility and stability in aqueous media, and incompatibilities with standard toxicity assays. Our team adapts sampling and processing methods—such as shredding, grinding, sieving, and filtration—to overcome these barriers and ensure representative material for safety analysis.
